Heroic Faith

Dear friends,

We concluded our “Heroic Faith” Series on March 1, 2010.  Wow!  What a ride!

In a time of severe economic recession, high unemployment, and overwhelming financial uncertainty, the people of Christ Church increased their financial support for our ministry by more than $80,000 in 2010.   At a time when most churches would consider a 3 percent annual increase outstanding, the faithful people of Christ Church have pledged a 30 percent increase.  Yes, you read that correctly.  A 30 percent increase!

Beneath these numbers lies a deeper truth.  This growth represents the fact that God is working deeply in the hearts of His people through our ministry.  Many could testify how God has impacted their lives and moved them to make a deep commitment to His work.  Many could tell their personal story about how they made a commitment to live by “heroic faith.”

To all of you who responded, thank you from the bottom of my heart!  I will pray daily that you will experience God’s blessing in your life, even as you have been a blessing to others.

Let’s keep the spiritual momentum going!

 Blessings,

 Jeff

 I’m asking three things …

  • Make Your 2010 Pledge. Make a one year commitment. Let us know your intentions. Pick up a pledge card in church.

  • Keep it simple. Let your church know that we can count on you consistently – whether there is a snowstorm, or you are away on vacation, or whatever. Sign up on-line with “Simply Giving.” It’s safe, simple, and secure. And you can always change your gift if your circumstances change.

  • Be a hero. A hero is simply an ordinary person in an extraordinary situation. I ask you to make an extraordinary commitment to God. The truth is, last year’s level of giving did not create a sustainable ministry. This year, we need a new level of generosity, commitment, and HEROIC FAITH.

BECOME A HERO! Make a HEROIC decision today to help us meet the extraordinary challenge of our time.

May God bless you for your response!

Jeff
